We are the first on the market who offered the services of a virtual office back in 2011. These days the offer of such a service was completely new in Serbia and it was mostly used by foreigners who opened branch offices in our country. Nowadays such a service is more widely spread, and entrepreneurs from our country use it as well, but we are glad to remember the beginning. Virtual office, real business
The Internet and modern communications have opened new possibilities both here and in many other areas, and for a small company operation it is only necessary to register it and complete other bureaucratic paperwork to start a business. On the other hand, the practical operation of a company is possible today even without a physical seat of the company, solely “over the phone business”, using the phone or the Internet lines.
High operating costs are forcing entrepreneurs to increasingly looking for alternative ways to do the job and try to minimize expenditure. What is common on the West, however, is still almost unknown in Serbia. There are rare companies that provide virtual office services, and their offer is more accepted by foreigners who open a branch office in Serbia than by domestic entrepreneurs. The Director of the company Konsalting Aktiv Group Igor Jelić, which among other things offers a virtual office to its customers, confirms to Ekonom:east that such services are often used by foreign entrepreneurs.
“Most of the interested ones come from Slovenia, and they are predominantly interested in the basic package that includes registration of the company and its correspondence with the Tax Administration. The entrepreneur is actually working from Slovenia, and all paperwork and operations are done via his office in Belgrade. Companies that are interested in that kind of business are the ones that deal with services”, says Jelić for Ekonom:east.
What does the term “virtual office” mean? In short, the entrepreneur may practically rent a telephone line, lawyers, administrative specialists, fixed address, checking mail services, correspondence service and all other services that could be needed in everyday business. In addition, he does not have to pay rent for office premises, staff salaries, utility bills and all other necessities typical for a company.
“That means, say, the basic package, which allows the potential user to register a company in Belgrade, at a fixed address, to receive written correspondence both with the tax administration and with clients, and more serious packages that include the possibility of renting office space, scheduling meetings, obtaining administrative workers to deal with administrative matters, as well as the accounting jobs and the help of lawyers” says the Ekonom:east interlocutor.
Large savings of money is the main advantage of a virtual organization of work.
Such models of work organization are already widely used in developed countries where saving time and money are the most important. “That is something that is copied from the West; primarily these are some models from Austria. This is nothing new for those who have business relations with foreign countries where it is a common form of work, especially in the beginning, when every penny is important. The income tax is also a benefit, which is 40 percent abroad, and 10 percent in our country,” concludes Mr. Jelić.
